CELINA, TX – Alexis + Bryson were married on a beautiful, hot, August summer day at The Venue at Waterstone in Celina, TX. Alexis chose a pastel theme with plenty of blush and dusty blue tones that contrasted nicely with the warm tones of this rustic wood barn venue. Her cathedral veil and mermaid hair (no extensions – that’s her REAL hair!) paired perfectly with her gorgeous Stella York gown from Bridal Boutique Lewisville. They said “I do” during their indoor ceremony in front of the large windows inside the venue and their reception was a party to remember!
I absolutely loved getting to know these high school sweethearts; they had so much tenderness and affection for each other so capturing their love story was a breeze! Here’s a little more about the newlyweds: “Bryson and I met when we were in the same 5th grade class (along with our Maid of Honor and Best Man) in Prosper, TX. We became closer friends freshman year of high school when we had classes together; we hung out at the football games every Friday night. And then in November of sophomore year, we started dating. Bryson and I have known each other since we were kids, so we practically grew up together.
Although we are very different, we have so many things in common that really make us the best of the best friends. We were only 15 when we started dating, so it was really the first relationship for both of us, but it was so easy because of how good of friends we were. With every movie date, late night drive, walk through the park, the closer and closer we got and the happier he made me. I would constantly catch him glancing over at me during class and smiling; I knew he was someone I never wanted to lose. We graduated high school, and we picked our own colleges that best suited us, but they happened to be 4 hours apart from each other. But, we weren’t going to let that get in the way of the relationship we had. With a couple of phone calls a day and weekend visits about once a month, we finally got through the 4 years of long distance. If anything, those 4 years made our relationship stronger and made us really appreciate and value the time we spend with each other. Living in the same place for these last couple months has made us so happy and really excited for our future together.
Bryson proposed to me on October 27, 2018 at his senior night for soccer at his college. I, along with his parents, accompanied him on the field as he was introduced to the crowd before the game. The announcer then proceeded to say that “Bryson has a special question to ask” as he got down on one knee in the middle of the field. He even surprised with with a bunch of my friends and sister in the stands. So, 2 weeks before celebrating our 6 year anniversary together, we were engaged.”
As a couple, Alexis + Bryson love going to the movies, going for walks, working out, playing soccer, and playing cards. Alexis loves watching tv and shopping while Bryson loves soccer, video games, and swimming.
Their most anticipated moments of their wedding day were walking down the aisle and exchanging their personal vows.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and congratulations again Mr. & Mrs. Barrett!
